Long-Trading Portfolio Update for Week Ending 2/1/13

For most recently ended week, the Long-Trading Portfolio fell by 2.1% on weakness in the coal stocks. This compares to the market's gain of nearly 70 basis points. Year-to-date, the portfolio has lost a relative 1100 basis points when compared to the S&P 500, or an absolute loss of 5% on the year. This is seen in the performance graph below.

The portfolio remains ahead of the market since inception with a relative gain of 2.5% or a 7.5% total gain. I am making it point this year to diversify my long trading calls.
