Although selling sharply upon the open, the s&P 500 ended up closing at or near the high of the day. Still, the market closed off by about 10 basis points in value on mixed results across the ten sectors.
The supply/demand outlook for yesterday's trading was mixed with selling pressure and force largely balancing against demand pressures. That said, energy stocks experienced some relative upbeat demand. This contrasts with industrials, whom saw more relative supply. All the commentary aside though, the trading action, at least my opinion, reflects more noise than signal.
